WBPF provides Interactive & Tailored Staff Training & Consultation for Organizations in Uganda (Corporates, NGOs, Government, Education, International Institute, etc.) to Build Robust Working Professional Team in Uganda to Drive organization's Sustainable Growth.

 

The training does not teach specific business skills such as marketing, ICT and accounting. It provides more fundamental training that aims to transform the mindset to enable your staff to become qualified business professionals who can work independently.

 

 

WBPF targets mainly white-collar professionals working in any organizations (Corporates, NGOs, Government, Education, International Institute, etc.);

 

a. Associate level white-collar worker

b. Middle manager level

 

 

*Upper / Senior management level professionals and junior staffs are also welcome to enroll

The “professional mindset and behavior” is a Key trait of top-tier performers.

 

While knowledge of proper behavior and attitude can be obtained from books and perhaps a few hours of lectures, the only way to master them comes from appropriate training and repeated practice

a) Professional mindset and behavior, and 

b) Critical employable skills to solve typical staff development challenges;

WBPF helps Corporates, NGOs, Government and Education institutions by:

 

1. Providing in-house Staff training for professional development

 

  • Standard course is total 9weeks, consists 7weeks class session and 2 personal consulting sessions. Entire 9weeks experiences enhance to transform mindset and behavior.

  i. Pre-consulting session (personal)

  ii. 7-weeks class sessions (3hours/week) 

  iii. Post-evaluation session (personal)

 

2. HR Management Consultations

 

  • Provide HR development and management consultation as request to intervene from inside organization.

 

3. On-going and follow-up coaching to sustain the professional mindset

 

 i. Personal coaching (1hour every 2weeks),   or

 ii. Group sessions (1-2hours every 2weeks.)

 

 HOW WE ACHIEVE

Major challenges on staff development in Uganda. These are advantages how WBPF handle these challenges.

1) Not able to grow practical professional. Staff is satisfied to earn only knowledge

Top-tier Performer masters professional fundamental mindset and behavior. The only way is appropriate working style with repeated practice. 

 

WBPF develops professional mindset/behavior through interactive learning environment based on “Action Learning” approach. 

Mindset & Behavior

  • Many trainings in Uganda aim to earn knowledge and specific skills, such as few days IT, marketing or accounting seminar. However it cannot be applied to practical working place without appropriate mindset and behavior. 

  • That is why WBPF takes 9weeks to transform mindset and behavior.

Action Learning

  • There is no single correct answer in our business situation. The importance is how we "DISCOVER" reasonable answer instead of studying knowledge and theory.

  • We use "Action Learning approach"  to enhance thinking ability instead of Lecture Style. Trainer does not “teach” answer. Trainer facilitates group to discover by participants. 

  • There are a variety of practical opportunities (case study, team exercise, role play) in Class and Working office

2) Good staff quits a company even if provide useful training with cost and effort…

We understand "attachment" to the working team for employee retention. 

Why do employee leave an organization? Because of low salary or get opportunity with higher salary?

 

No. According to our research in Uganda, the critical reason is lack of communication between organization/manager and staff about personal working engagement such as working motivation and career plan. 

Develop with Organization

  • Before/after 7-class sessions, we have personal coaching sessions among manager, staff and trainer. We communicate working motivation, career goal and other working engagement in the sessions. It encourage communication and develop belongings and loyalty to an organization.

  • Before starting program, we usually have consultation with managers and discuss how we create practical opportunities in working environment for applying learning points from sessions.

3) Get back to former behavior few months after training...

After 9weeks program, most participants will change awareness and behavior, however, it has not connected to working result yet. Actually, 9weeks might not be sufficient to accomplish performance evaluation.

Some staff will make new habitation and keep sustainable development by themselve, but some will not.

Total Support

  • WBPF provide follow-up sessions (group or personal) to staff every two weeks for few months after class session. It is coaching program to keep sustainable development.

  • WBPF also consult HR management. To make sustainable and significant impact, HR interventions are mandatory such as evaluation & remuneration structure and welfare framework.
