[Success Story 1]: AFLOPLAST

 

A staff member (from the above organization) participated and completed the WBPF training that involved 7-weeks of classroom training followed by 3-months of follow-up mentoring. (June-Nov 2014)

He is a procurement manager who had a passive mind-set and performed according to his manager’s instructions. His Managing Director identified him to "possess a good personality” but someone who was “not proactive and was not an effective communicator’.

After participating in the WBPF class training, he is slowly transforming and is now practicing many of the principles taught in class. He is following schedule management and planning at his workplace and his communication gap (both to his manager and staff) has improved.

At the start of the follow-up program (after the 7-week classroom session) when we usually set goals for the next 3 months personal program, he discovered a big insight on his own:

 

"As my team and I have implemented a TO-DO list and schedule calendar management, the communication gap between the factory and my department has been eliminated. But, we still have some challenges. To improve our performance in my department, I found that the most critical is to revise procurement mechanism rather than personal communication. So, my goal for next three months are:

 

•  Install new stock management operation for next two months. (Sort out inventory location, review minimum stock level and labeling)

• Train my staff to operate in new framework for next three months”

 

He discovered and obtained "ownership mindset" and "responsibility for output" and apply "creative improvement with comprehensive perspective".

 

After 3 months, he accomplished installing the new framework, operational changes and training his staff.  In the last session, during a presentation to CEO and Director, he said:

 

"I want to expand this success story to other departments and train other department managers and staff in this new mindset."

 

The CEO said that "he is now getting to be our dream team member".
